The Sound your “A” Initiative

Sound your “A” is a double CD of music recorded in the main by John Byrt beginning with members of the Corcomroe Céilí Band 1954 and continuing throughout the 1960s.

​

While mainly traditional music the collection also includes music and musicians who played in the dance bands of the 40ies and 50ies – The Jack Madigan and Mickey Hogan bands.

​

Many of the musicians appeared in both Dance bands and Céilí bands.
